Natalie Strohmaier

Natalie Strohmaier is a photo-based artist who lives and works in Munich, Germany. Her practice centers on concept-driven, staged studio photography shaped by her background in architecture and production design. Each image is precisely planned and built, using light, material, and spatial composition to convey conceptual ideas. By reworking familiar objects and visual codes, her work reframes everyday culture and reflects on consumerism, cultural habits, and social perceptions of the body.

Her photographic series have received various awards, including the 2024 National Award (Germany) at the Sony World Photography Awards, and have been exhibited internationally.
