Natalie Strohmaier

Natalie Strohmaier is a German photo artist based in Munich, Germany. She loves to stage images and spends a lot of time researching and preparing to find the right motifs and props for a planned image. Mostly the set-ups staged in her own studio require a lot of patience and manual work to come as close as possible to the previously drawn drafts. She deals with a wide variety of themes from everyday culture, playing with the viewer's associations and experiences by showing the familiar in a new way.

In 2023 Natalie Strohmaier was the Winning Photographer of »The Independent Photographer - Color Photography Competition«, she is a finalist for »Royal Photographic Society - IPE 165« and she won the »Julia Margaret Cameron Award« in the Open Theme series category.
