Gerhard Maurer

Born in Klagenfurt in 1967, photographer and cultural worker. Numerous independent projects in the context of everyday culture, architecture, homeland and identity, exhibitions and publications of books. His most recent publication is a photo essay in Lukas Vejnik (Ed.): »Regional Modernism – Architecture in Carinthia 1945-1979«, Ritter Verlag, Klagenfurt 2020 and photographic work in relation to 35 buildings constructed by Günther Domenig in the book „IN RESONANCE“, together with Anna Baar, Jovis publishing, Berlin 2022.

Since 2016 Gerhard Maurer and Gudrun Zacharias have been running the »Space for Photography« in Klagenfurt with the aim of conveying contemporary conceptual, photographic positions to an interested public.
