In the 70s she got into photography through a birthday gift, a Yashika analog camera. Since then she has never lost the joy of this medium. Her main interest is staged photography. In her photographs, Jutta Fischel often deals with the phenomenon of transparency, fading and disappearance. Her works revolve around the questions of when blurriness sharpens the eye for the magical in the world and how much must be visible in order to be recognized. She often works in series and installations. Many of her works are deliberately conceived for outdoor spaces and consciously accept a change of material.
